Feeney set to leave Millwall for Blackburn Rovers on loan

MILLWALL are set to loan Liam Feeney to Blackburn Rovers.

The two clubs are close to agreeing a deal that will see the winger, 27, move to Ewood Park until the end of the season.

Boss Ian Holloway has brought Feeney off the bench in the Lions' last three games but the former Bournemouth man has started just one game this year.

Feeney, who spent time on loan with Bolton earlier in the season, is out-of-contract in the summer, so he could have played his last game for Millwall.

No great loss, might as well get another player off the wage bill. Hopefully he will make the move permanent at the end of the season.

The lad has not really showed any consistently good form for a few years now, let him go and try to resurrect his career, he is no good to us at this time. Would be great if we could get Chris Taylor back off BB.

The manager don't play with wingers so no use having him here, never rated him , not good enough.so a good move IMO.

Good luck Feeney, I can see potential. Maybe he's just too soft for Millwall

Feeney might be a bad player, well, he is a bad player, but I don't think Holloway would let him go if he didn't have somebody else up his sleeve. Hopefully we can get in someone young, quick and creative so then we can stop playing our strikers out of position out on the wing.

He don't play with wingers, so he won't be getting a winger in. He don't play 442. Anyway he's got woolford and Martin if he wanted a winger, which he don't.

@T-28ColdBlowLion: Henry is playing at the right level. Same as with us, league 1 good, championship, not good enough. Feeney, IMO is the same beast.

As if to back up his point about not playing 4-4-2 earlier in the week, Holloway lets another winger go. Watch out for an 'escape to victory' style injury to Martin to underline his point! Surely we need to have different options so we have flexibility? I've got a very bad feeling about this............

PS. Do agree that Feeney is s***!
