Preview: Yeovil Town vs. Millwall

MILLWALL welcome back goalkeeper David Forde and centre back Danny Shittu for their trip to fellow strugglers Yeovil Town on Tuesday night.

Forde has been absent since the 1-0 win over Ipswich Town last month with a quad strain, while Shittu sat out Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Burnley with a sore groin.

However, the pair trained as normal on Monday and will travel with the Lions squad to Somerset this morning ahead of a vital basement battle at Huish Park.

Mark Beevers (calf), Nicky Bailey (back) and Shane Lowry (suspended) are out.

There is a question mark surrounding the availability of midfielder Ed Upson, who recently moved between the two clubs.

Millwall agreed not to play Upson against his former club when they bought him in January, however manager Ian Holloway yesterday stated the 24-year-old could yet feature.

Yeovil hope to have Liam Davis and Joe Ralls available after slight knocks.

Next three games tell us where we will be playing our football next season, can't afford to lose any of them, so let's get off to the perfect start tonight and shut that squashed prune of a manager (Johnson) up !
A win then hopefully a good turnout on Saturday for another must win !
    ROAR !!!

A point away and three at home will see us safe. On that basis, the thinking tonight should be DO NOT LOSE.
He has to play Forde and Shittu so the rest of the defence picks itself.
Midfield needs some steel especially without Bailey so it's going to be interesting to see who he plays.
Attack- I think it's time Morison was benched and brought on if need be.
Going to be a long night...

@NICKOLA: Dont think he will sideline Moro, he's been our best attacker since Holloways taken over. MOTM against Sheff Weds the other week.

I forecast a 1-1 draw, the elements will affect this game somewhat. The focus has to be on 100% resilience because Yeovil will come at us like a pack of wild dogs as they are fighting for survival as well.
    A real tug of war.

@333lions: Definately need to get our goal difference down between now and the end of the season. We have taken our fair share of hammerings.....

@333lions: We have scored 3 goals ONCE this season !! It would take us 5 or 6 games to score 5 or 6 goals ?

@Jim28: Mr Optimistic........I reckon a 2-2 or a very close 1-2 win for us. I don't think Holloway will need to get them up for this, the players should take responsibility tonight and put in a must win performance.

One of the players i would like to see sorted is morison, far to often he is running the the right channel, when i think he should be in the middle, getting knock down,s to our other forwards who are a bit on the short side, also i have noticed when fredericks has the ball and is going forward morison comes off his defender to ward fredericks,so the only option is a pass to feet ,making it easy for the defender.I woul like to see morison keep the defender a bit tighter,so as to have the option of
fredericks putting a ball over the top for morison to turn and run on to,it would also draw the foul from their defender, thus keeping the pressure on their defense [we dont get many free kicks between the half way line and their box].
Ideally i would like to see morison playing more down the middle,as we dont seem to put much pressure on opposing CBs in the air,if we are to play with smaller forward,s ie mcdonald and campbell then a centre forward winning the ball in the box is a must.
woolford {who i think is one of our better player,s this year] is our top scorer so i think that support,s what i am saying in this post.
We must send Lowry to see a shrink,he has to learn his gung ho attitude is not helping us,in footballing term,s i think he has been great since IH has been here but he has got to control the red mist,as we cant afford not to have him playing since his game [red card,s apart] has greatly improved.
So mr lowry please no more silly red card,s,we need you playing.

@jim1222: I think The right channel is where Morison plays best. If you remember the season we were promoted, he was mustard there.

@benzo: he aint mustard now benzo,no goals no end product, and he cant say he has not had the service, when he gets the ball he is either to wide or to deep,i know he has made a couple of opertunities for others but it has only been a couple if we are to use mcdonald, campbell, jackson to their best capabilities then we need someone big in the middle.

if the game goes ahead , I reckon the pitch will be very heavy and muddy. No place for good football at all. I think bringing Dunney back for tonight wouldn't be a bad move , he'll get stuck in and sweat blood for the shirt. Robbo gets the nod to line up alongside Shittu as far I'm concerned too.
    COYL !!!
