Millwall line up Beasant as new goalkeeping coach – report

MILLWALL are reported to be lining up former Fulham and Northern Ireland goalkeeping coach Dave Beasant to replace Tony Burns.

NewsAtDen revealed last month that Burns, 68, would be retiring after more than five decades in the game.

And the South London Press says Beasant is one of three candidates holding talks with chief executive Andy Ambler about taking up the post.

Beasant, who made nearly 800 career appearances for the likes of Wimbledon, Southampton and Nottingham Forest, has been working at the Glenn Hoddle Academy since 2008 and recently began working as an agent.
