MILLWALL midfielder Therry Racon could return to first-team training by the end of February following a long-term ankle injury.
The Lions are confident the Frenchman will not require further surgery, and are equally optimistic that he will play again this season. Racon sustained the injury during the Carling Cup win at Plymouth in August.
Physio Bobby Bacic told the club's official website: "We have been trying hard to avoid an operation on his ankle as this would rule him out for the season.
"We are now at the stage where he will be starting his outdoor running and if he comes through this stage successfully, we will be looking to the next stage, which will be full training.
"An air of caution is needed when any player starts his outdoor rehab as the drills become more football specific and demanding.
"However we are very confident Therry is ready for this stage and we feel a return to full training by the end of next month is realistic."
