SCOTT McDONALD has revealed that the appointment of Ian Holloway has gone down a storm in the Millwall dressing room.
McDonald believes "there's no better man for the job" than Holloway, who the Lions board have appointed to succeed Steve Lomas.
"His record speaks for itself," McDonald said. "He is a bubbly guy and very positive.
"Every single one of the lads is looking forward to working for him and the challenge at hand during the remainder of the season.
"Out of everyone who was available, I think the club's worked very hard and got the best man out there. Full credit goes to the chairman and board for pulling it off. Everyone I know who has played under him has said nothing but positive things.
"He has got two teams promoted to the Premier League and knows this division inside out, so there's no better man for the job.
"He's been linked with a few other teams and I would imagine those teams are disappointed now that he's in charge at Millwall. That's nothing but a good thing for us.
"All the players are delighted to see him here. He has told us how he sees us going forward and everyone is on the same page.
"We had our first session with the manager on Tuesday and there is a real buzz for training tomorrow. We are looking forward to hearing more about his ideas and what he plans to bring to the table."
