Preview: Watford vs. Millwall

PAUL Robinson and Liam Trotter are expected to be passed fit to face Watford on Boxing Day despite sitting out training at the start of the week.

Robinson required three stitches after cutting his ankle against Middlesbrough last weekend but boss Steve Lomas is confident the centre back will play if selected.

Trotter has been battling through a muscle strain in recent weeks but is set to keep his place in the side at Vicarage Road.

Nicky Bailey and Lee Martin are back in training but this fixture is likely to come too soon for the midfield duo.

However, Lomas says Richard Chaplow could return to the squad after a groin problem, while Liam Feeney and Scott Malone should both overcome slight knocks.

For Watford, Essaid Belkalem (ankle), Tommie Hoban (ankle) and Almen Abdi (foot) and Davide Faraoni (ankle) are all ruled out.

Should be a nice evenly balanced game. They got a new manager that doesn't speak a word of English and our might as well not for all the good it seems to do.

I think their manager not speaking a word of English will suit Watford's line up. Have they got an Englishman amongst them ?

@MFC Lion: Morrison did he play against Boro?? Haha I had someone saying he played like the old Morrison hahaha what a joke!!! Your so right he need to turn up or sent back for breach of contract!!! Their should be a a clause in players contracts where if they play with no effort they can be terminated.

@JONO: That's a grossly unfair comment Jono, for me he did play like his old self!, and again did very little for ninety odd minutes!!!
Agree 100% mate! make their contracts play for pay, but ensure the definition of play does not just mean putting on a pair of fancy bright slippers and limping around the pitch.

We all know what's required, and Need to put in the type of performance that we used to be renown for, resilient, tenacious, diligent I won't go on suffice to say I can suffer losing if we give our best, but THERIN LIES THE PROBLEM!!!

Hope SL does not play the same back four, it was widely presumed he was going to alter the line up against Boro but he got cold feet. He has bought in Moussi but left him out, so why sign him on loan in the first place? Like to see Easter with Morison, but I expect he will go down the same route devoid of ideas. Just hope the team can put in the extra effort, keep the ball on the ground and graft for 90 min.
Maybe SL should stay at home, the team might win.

Always try to stay upbeat..but can't see a result today. If some ( or all ) of the players can't be asked to put in a effort how will they turn up today after xmas day ? Think they will play with hangovers,or is there much difference. How long do you wait before it's too late. ? Sorry, but think we will get hammered..........and hope i'm wrong.

Plenty of posters slagging Morison again but not one telling us what else he could have done against 'Boro? A bit of constructive criticism wouldn't go amiss? For me he was one of the better of a bad bunch. He chased down at least three lost causes that I can recall, competed for the ball on the rare occasions that he saw it, put a header on target from a poor cross and generally suffered from a lack of any service due to the general malaise in the rest of the team. He even headed away two corners! Three goals in four games and a few assists thrown in during recent weeks in a side that, as everybody recognises, isn't performing. He's not Suarez.

So much for 'massive game' from Forde....and a 'response required' from Ambler.

We've had nothing ....and after so many years supporting the Lions - my team, I'm angry.

    Now it's 4 goals down.

There are no more words from Ambler or anyone else on the Board or in the team.

How much humiliation do we have to suffer?

How much do we have to hurt before you act, John?

The team will be just outside the drop zone tonight.

    Stop this now.

It's the leader - not the team. you make your own luck. And he's not making anything happen - let alone some luck.

Find a replacement with championship experience.

    Now.

    Not in the New Year.

    Now.

Sod giving Lomas another match. We've shipped another 4 goals and are an absolute embarrassment. The decent thing for Lomas to do would be walk away now, he's tried, and he's failed. He simply doesn't have the skill or knowledge to manage a Championship team. Lomas Out!

Three things the board needs to do today:

    1) Sack Lomas

    2) Invest in a manager who has CHAMPIONSHIP EXPERIENCE

    3) Listen to the new managers needs during the January transfers and invest in some players, who this time will make an impact on the squad.

The key word here being: INVEST INVEST INVEST

It's now time that the Chairmen gets rid of Lonas and apologises to the fans for enduring this for the past 4 months even pre season we were poor. You wouldn't see the goals being so easily leaked under KJ and Lomas just hadn't worked. Realised that the SPL was a totally different style of play and has been taught a lesson. We need someone new to come being some confidence to the club soon or not only will be relegated with many games to go we will certainly lose Forde, Trotter and other half decent players.

Admit your mistakes JB and do something positive. No more excuses, no more time. Act now
