PAUL Robinson and Liam Trotter are expected to be passed fit to face Watford on Boxing Day despite sitting out training at the start of the week.
Robinson required three stitches after cutting his ankle against Middlesbrough last weekend but boss Steve Lomas is confident the centre back will play if selected.
Trotter has been battling through a muscle strain in recent weeks but is set to keep his place in the side at Vicarage Road.
Nicky Bailey and Lee Martin are back in training but this fixture is likely to come too soon for the midfield duo.
However, Lomas says Richard Chaplow could return to the squad after a groin problem, while Liam Feeney and Scott Malone should both overcome slight knocks.
For Watford, Essaid Belkalem (ankle), Tommie Hoban (ankle) and Almen Abdi (foot) and Davide Faraoni (ankle) are all ruled out.
