Don't see that draw as a negative. Good chance of progressing to the 4th round.

Either want a big Prem club OR a lower league club you can beat to progress. Just wanted to avoid a Championship club or someone like Stoke. Will be happy to see off Southend and get back into the smaller 4th Rd draw.

@NOLU1885: Yeah, I agree. I'd rather this draw than the one Palarse have got.

homework by mick harford will be essential with this one .and if he is standing in that pit where the pitch is at eye level at roots hall, then we could be in for either a romp or banana skin. would be a great game to blood a young un if we are well in front, anybody agree?

tight little old fashioned ground, full noisy house, southend going well in their division, phil brown in their dugout, this is like a local derby for them, throw in some of our crappy defending, underestimate this one at your peril, we are in for one hell of an afternoon, make no mistake

@jim1222: add into the equation that we have a poor recent record there too and it is a recipe for a turnover all day long, if we are realistic though, do we need another cup run?

@dpendet, it wasn't meant to be doom and gloom, i didn't say we would lose, i was making the point to the earlier post's that already have us in the next round that we need to treat this one with respect

Had to laugh at this draw, reason is that since knowing my lovely wife of 10 years ,she has enjoyed travelling with me to many matches surporting Millwall ,including FA semi-final at old trafford and not forgetting our final day in Cardiff, she gets excited watching Millwall and going to The Den, but she is from Southend and Southend she will want to win this match on the day, not sure how we will work our day in Southend, now I wander how Neil Harris feels about this match ?

Is there anywhere to park at Southend. I don't want to leave the Bentley anywhere dodgy.
