MILLWALL striker Darius Henderson has been committed to the crown court for trial after being charged with causing grievous bodily harm without intent.

Henderson, who is accused of breaking a man's jaw during a fight at a Hertfordshire restaurant on New Year's Day, attended a brief hearing at St. Albans Magistrates this morning.

He will next appear at a plea and case management hearing at St. Albans Crown Court on June 11, when a trial date is likely to be set.

Inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, which falls under Section 20 of the Offences against the Person Act, carries a maximum prison sentence of five years.
