MILLWALL were beaten by the clock on the final day of the loan window as boss Steve Lomas ran out of time to complete any deals.
The Lions had been hoping to bring in one new signing and move one player out, with Shane Lowry the likeliest to depart amid firm interest from Bolton.
However, Lomas confirmed shortly before the 5pm deadline for temporary transfers that there would now be no comings or goings at The Den until January.
Lowry's departure would have been dependent on Lomas adding to his squad.
Bolton manager Dougie Freedman hinted at his interest in the left back earlier in the day when he revealed: "I am in contact with one manager. We are trying to get one more player in, but they are also trying to do something their end."
Lomas had been working through a shortlist of midfield targets but found that many clubs were reluctant to let their players leave at the eleventh hour.
