Forest midfielder signs for Millwall on loan until January

NOTTINGHAM Forest midfielder Guy Moussi has joined Millwall on loan until January 2.

NewsAtDen reported earlier on Thursday that the 28-year-old had been training with the Lions ahead of a possible move to South London, and the deal has now been confirmed.

Moussi has made over 100 appearances for Forest since joining the club in 2008 but has featured just four times his season.

The 6ft 2in Frenchman would be a like-for-like replacement for Shaun Derry, who last week left SE16 to take up the manager's post at Notts County.

Assistant manager Mick Harford told the club's official site: "Shaun left us last week for Notts County and we wanted some competition in midfield.

"Guy is big, strong and athletic, and that's exactly the type of player we've been looking for."

Hahahahahahahhaahahaaaaaaa - we have no good fit center halves, only 2 natural wingers, a center half playing at left back but why not add another central midfield player to the 5 we already have?!!!

Priceless a replacement for a loanee, does he know why we dont need another midfielder or as it was his position, he just likes to collect them, a good CB and if you can someone to get 15 to 20 goals a season (juat a wish) is what is required not another no one in the middle who has played at best 17 games a season since 2008.

Another strong midfielder who might play a defensive role as well can only be good but in the four games he has played for NF this season (one of them when NF won against Millwall 2-1) he has picked up 3 yellow cards. In 101 games for NF he has only scored 3 goals. But Everton, Wigan and Stoke were interested in signing him. Seems like a player who puts himself about. SL must have his reasons for wanting another midfielder.

People need to calm down, we have no player like him at the minute. Yes, I agree that CB is a must improve on but we shouldn't write the player off. Always liked the look of him when he has played against us. Big strong and fast, can easily see Bailey, Trotter and him in the middle 3.

@Omer Ronayne: I must have have been watching a different Guy Moussi then.... to me he's a heavier version of Jimmy! I'm not complaining about the quality at all but I think the money could be better spent elsewhere! what's the score with Chaplow?! has he been completely forgotten?

@TheBermondseyBomber: I wish I knew with Chaplow, the catch I believe it with Lomas wanting to play 2 holding midfielders basically with Bailey already cementing one of those positions logic means we need a big lad to sit next to him. So Chaplow won't fit into that system.

@Omer Ronayne: Agreed, he may be a lot better than Derry was, he seems to be very popular by looking at his Twitter following. The club website says
"Shaun (Derry) left us last week for Notts County and we wanted some competition in midfield," assistant manager Mick Harford said. Guy is big, strong and athletic, and that's exactly the type of player we've been looking for."
Let's give him a welcome and see how he plays.

Well christ! Look at that now... we crying out for defensive reinforcements, we get shot of Derry who heeded the call of Notts County (A lucky escape on our part) and with some wages freed up we go and bring in another Midfielder! Hell why not! Lets go 2 for 1 crazy on the area where we most competitive in and need not any players for.

I was hoping to finally see more of Chaplow in there as well, if the board finally pull the trigger on Lomas owing to our awful defensive record thus far I hope he will address the fact that he had the time and opportunity to get some champ quality CB's in and was wrong in obsessing over the midfield because he was a midfielder in his career and knew that position best.

Now in having and said that, this Moussi lad at 6ft 2" and a Defensive Midfielder, combined with Trotter a 6ft 2" Attacking Midfielder, makes for one hell of a combination to dominate the central midfield where most games are said to be won or lost. No excuses for not winning those ariel battles now or not scoring from corners please Lomas.

@millwallphil: We bust a gut to get Chaplow to sign and then treat him like s***. I can't see him hanging around for too long, shame because I rate him, he just hasn't been given a
      chance.
I know people will say the same about Morison but I'm not too bothered about him because he's not ours.

in all honesty he could be a good signing not that we really need him but there ya go! i also think we should go back to basics for barnsley game this fancy 4-2-3-1 , 4-5-1 , or 4-3-3 whatever the f*** it is don't even think the players really know tbh obviously is NOT working i think it's causing more harm than good i say let's get a strike partnership going coz we always got 3 or 4 unhappy strikers on the bench that should be on the field scoring and im no mathematical genius but 2 is better than 1 . look at the most deadly combos in the premier league partnerships are the best way to go when they work i just think that may be the way to go then that way everyone knows their job there is not all this disruption to the team and we can start rotating players more and none of this we're 4-3-3 in attack but 4-5-1 when defending it's all b******* we get torn apart all over the park this is why we are leaking goals coz everyone is all over the b****** place sort it lomas and take my advice coz if we had this team playing kennys way we would be in the top 6 right now FACT!

I've sat back and read you lot going on about Lomas, his signings, his selections, his tactics. All of the regular posters change their tune like the wind, first after first 6 games it was Lomas out, then after 3 wins on the bounce he was doing a good job, and he may be the one. Then the Birmingham and Bournemouth defeat you wanted him out again, then 3 draws against the best 3 sides in the league, oh, guess what he is ok again. What all of you fail to realise is that the squad we have is the best since I can remember (been going regular since 88) and he is the one responsible for bringing it together. Are you expecting 9 or 10 new signings to all of a sudden gel and be in the top 6 after 15 games of playing together.

Lomas has to change the whole mentality of our club, after 5 years of JK, he took over a stale club that just managed to avoid relegation last season, he inherited a squad of mediocre players that were boxing abovt their weight. Take a look at the 3 big English teams Man U Man City and Chelsea the same thing has happened to them, although they wasn't stale clubs, all 3 of Moyes Pellegrini and Mourinho are struggling a little to put their stamp on their inherited teams, and have been getting unexpected results, so what makes you lot think that Lomas can work wonders with the s*** he has inherited after 15 games, if that them 3 haven't set the world alight with all the millions they have at their dispense, the top 3 this year have been clubs that have had their mangers for more than 1 season Tottenham Asenal and Liverpool

Give him this season to get rid of the dead wood (dunne smith wright feeney henry keogh marquis abdou shittu all KJ players) then add to what he has brought in before you all start calling for his head just cause he has signed another CM. So what, he is building a squad that can compete for 46 games a season and to do that you need more than 4 CM. Have any of you thought that he just may not be about to get his hands on a decent CB who is better than what we've got? In my opinion he should play Lowry at CB alongside Robbo or Beevers as this is his best position, but at the moment he is doing the best he can with what he has.

One last question to all of you..... Did you clap Lowry when he got dismissed against Derby when we were 2-0 down? Then booed Lomas when we lost 5-1? If you did then that sums you idiots up.

        @paulgmfc:

A fair few people have indeed changed their minds on a regular basis. Happily however I haven't and so can retain consistency if nothing else when I say the formation is a complete non-starter with our current squad (however wonderful you think they are) and that's mainly because the full-backs can't support the centre-halves all of whom lack speed and mobility, push forward as wing-backs and operate as common or garden wide defenders. Frankly Cole or Baines would struggle in that role given our centre-backs so what chance have the motley crew that pass for our full-backs got. Nor is there a cat in hell's chance of Waghorn, Chaplow or whichever poor mug of a central player is being victimised by Lomas next week filling the wide(ish) forward positions with much success. I reckon we had one good and, when played in the right role, consistent winger in Henry and three who can do a reasonable job most weeks.

But Lomas would rather shuffle untold identikit central midfielders and slightly bewildered forwards in a crowded centre. Bailey, Derry, Abdou, Chaplow, this new geezer, Waghorn, Woolford, Wright, Martin, Feeney - it doesn't make a whole bunch of difference which get bunger in or left out - they are all either out of position or misplace passes on a regular basis or both - the only bloke who offers something different is Trotter and he needs a rocket up the a*** on a regular basis. Frankly I reckon we've seen Lomas's stamp and I for one don't like it.

Why are Ambler and Berylson allowing Lomas to sign players we don't need? Do they want the club to be relegated? Why did we sign Chaplow if we are not going to play him? Why don't we use a formation that allows us to play 2 strikers up front? Waghorn isn't a prolific enough scorer to be the lone striker but partner him with McDonald to see if he scores then or he will go back to Leicester in January. Why did Lomas sign all these players on loan or during the Summer if he isn't making best use of them? BECAUSE HE HASN'T GOT A CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING!!!!!!

With today's articles about Waghorn, Trotter, Morrison and now the new DNG we appear to be a club that hasn't got a f****** clue. With the amount of forwards and midfielders we've got we are top heavy. I have always thought you build from the back. Ours couldn't stop a f****** beach ball in a five a side goal, and our keeper has absolutely no worthy competition. By the time the last game of the season comes we'll still be waiting for them to gel and have as many forwards and midfielders as fans.
