Millwall keeper Forde gets Ireland call for Euro 2012

MILLWALL keeper David Forde has been included in the Republic of Ireland's 23-man squad for Euro 2012.

However, prolific Lions striker Andy Keogh has been forced to settle for a place on Giovanni Trapattoni's standby list for the tournament, which takes place in Poland and Ukraine this summer.

Keogh had been hoping his end-of-season form would be enough to force his way into the squad, previously saying he would be 'gutted' to miss out.

Forde is an unsurprising inclusion, having received several call ups in recent times as Ireland's recognised third-choice stopper.

Ireland squad: Given, Westwood, Forde, Dunne, O'Shea, St. Ledger, O'Dea, Ward, Kelly, Foley, Whelan, Gibson, Andrews, Fahey, Duff, McGeady, Hunt, McClean, Keane, Doyle, Cox, Long, Walters.

Standby: Randolph, McShane, Green, Coleman, Keogh.
