MILLWALL boss Kenny Jackett has been named Championship manager of the month for April.
Jackett saw off competition from West Ham's Sam Allardyce and Cardiff's Malky Mackay to win the award, which was chosen by a six-man judging panel.
"This is great – not just for me personally but for Millwall Football Club too," Jackett told the club's official site.
"As a club we don't seem to get recognised that often so it is a great cipro honour to have won this award and reflects very well on the players who put in such a strong finish to the season.
"It is very special for me because although I have been named manager of the month before, it has never been as a Championship manager, so this is a first and I am honoured."
Goalkeeper Maik Taylor was pipped to the player of the month award by West Ham striker Ricardo Vaz Te.
