MILLWALL will open contract talks with captain Paul Robinson, Player of the Year Jimmy Abdou and midfielder Liam Trotter over the summer, according to one report.

The South London Press say the trio will be the focus of the club's efforts to tie down a number of players who are entering the final year of their current deals – although Trotter's does not expire until 2014.

Meanwhile, boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed that goalkeeper Maik Taylor is poised to sign permanently with the Lions, after NewsAtDen reported the 40-year-old has verbally agreed to sign a one-year contract at The Den.

"He [Taylor] has been fantastic and deserves his new deal," Jackett told the Southwark News.
