SCOTT McDonald's knee problem is likely to keep him out of Millwall's midweek trip to Birmingham, manager Steve Lomas has confirmed.
McDonald has not trained since the Lions' win at Charlton ten days ago and Lomas revealed the striker has subsequently been given an injection to aid his recovery.
A scan of the injury came back clear, however, and McDonald should make a swift return.
Lomas said: "Scott jarred his knee against Blackpool but, credit to him, he put himself up to play against Charlton. He then took another little knock on it so he has been in a bit of discomfort.
"He's had a jab to calm it down but it's nothing serious. We are hoping he will be back for Birmingham but probably more likely it will be Bournemouth next Saturday."
