HARRY Kane's late equaliser secured Millwall a well-earned point against Blackpool in their final game of the 2011-12 season.

The result means the Lions finish a respectable 16th in the Championship table with 57 points, albeit 10 less than they achieved last year.

Andy Keogh had seemingly set Kenny Jackett's side on their way to a sixth successive league win when he slotted home James Henry's excellent through-ball in the 12th minute.

But the visitors equalised against the run of play when captain Ian Evatt headed in Stephen Crainey's free-kick, moments after Paul Robinson had gone close to making it 2-0 at the other end.

Nouha Dicko converted another Crainey delivery to put the Tangerines ahead midway through the second half, but Kane's superb half-volley in the 83rd minute ensured Millwall finished the season unbeaten in their last seven matches.

Millwall: Taylor, Smith, Robinson, Lowry, Craig, Trotter, Abdou, Henry, Wright (Batt, 81mins), Kane, Keogh.

Blackpool: Gilks, Crainey, Southern, Eardley, Evatt, Phillips (Basham, 78mins), Sylvestre (Dobbie, 86mins), Baptiste, Dicko, Ince, Lua-Lua (M. Phillips, 60mins).
