Morison could be back in four weeks, reveals Millwall physio

MILLWALL physio Bobby Bacic has revealed that striker Steve Morison could be fit again in just four weeks after undergoing surgery on a double hernia.

The Lions had been planning to "manage" Morison's injury until the international break next month but decided an operation was necessary after he broke down last Thursday.

Bacic told the club's official site: "It is too early to give an exact return date as Steve will need to allow the operation sites to settle and avoid infection. However if there are no complications then a return to play within four weeks is a possibility.

"During the operation the surgeon detected the beginning of a very small tear on the left side, so this was also addressed."

Morison, on loan from Leeds United, will remain with Millwall during his recovery.

Surely someone at the club could have made this call sooner, seeing as they were aware of his injury. Seems like he's taken a right hammering recently for his 'lack of interest' - hardly surprising, under the circumstances.

@woodenlion: Moro's lack of effort is often brought up but I think he deserves a break, he and Trotter have both played extended periods with injury and we need to adopt our style to get the best out of them

No room for sentiment. All of us long-suffering fans are only interested in one thing - a win, every game. End of.

The clubs medical team need to switch on, seems a lack of foresight playing a lad carrying an injury and then putting him under the knife 4games into the season... Should have got this sorted straight away and played our squad players instead; at least if they were s#+t we wouldn't have to listen to BS excuses for our lack of goals and poor start..

Seems an extremely short recovery period, I know that medically we are advancing all the time but surely he would only be ready to warm the bench at best?
Either way it must be very likely that he arrived carrying this injury, if that was the case.......Knee jerk?

If SM comes back fit and bangs the goals like he used to along with Robbo staying injury free we may be able to fly up the table.
