Owls manager Jones reading little into Millwall's poor start

SHEFFIELD Wednesday manager Dave Jones insists his side should not doubt the quality in Millwall's squad despite the Lions' losing start to the season.

Steve Lomas' side travel to Hillsborough on Saturday on the back of three straight league defeats and still looking to score their first goal of the new campaign.

But Jones says Wednesday cannot afford to be complacent. Ex-Owls duo Mark Beevers and Stephen Bywater are expected to start for Millwall again their former club.

"They have some quality players, some experienced Premier-League-cum-top-Championship players," Jones said. "We have to be at our best; we can't take anything for granted.

"Beevers was a good servant here even before my time, and Bywater I couldn’t fault. I was surprised he left. We wanted to keep him. He thought he had a better chance of first-team football there, in view of what Chris Kirkland was doing here.

"It will be nice to see them again, but that's as far as it goes, because I want to beat them."

@lion.ie: lion.ie the problem is thats exactly what he is saying to his team and they have had a better start to the season than us (just) but its better, lets hope either DNG or JM who are in the squad if they play can do there own cause a bit of good to either stay at the club or do enough to maybe get a move.

@Barnlion: IMO, if we finish below them we are in big trouble.
