MILLWALL youth team product Jake Goodman has signed professional contract terms with the club.

The 18-year-old has agreed a one-year deal with the Lions and could even be named on the substitutes' bench for Saturday's game against Blackpool.

Goodman travelled with the first team to Ipswich Town last weekend and, while he was not included in boss Kenny Jackett's matchday squad, he took part in the pre-match warm-up at Portman Road.

The defender spent a brief spell on loan at Staines Town earlier this season, following in the footsteps of striker John Marquis whose stint at the Conference South club in 2010 was integral to his own progression into the senior side.
