STRIKER Andy Keogh believes the faith shown in him by Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has given him the confidence to rediscover his goalscoring touch.

Keogh's nine goals in 16 appearances have been instrumental in the the Lions' end-of-season form, which has seen them comfortably avoid relegation and rise to 16th in the Championship table.

"It has been brilliant," Keogh told the club's official site. "I am enjoying every minute of it. The manager has been great – he has given me a lot of confidence.

"When I was out on loan before, a lot of other managers didn't back me – they'd be taking me off after 60 minutes or not picking me, but he has given me a lot of time on the pitch and I am very grateful for that.

"We have not lost in six now, with five wins and only one goal conceded. It is down to everyone working as a unit, a little bit of luck and us taking our chances.

"I think we are playing some really good football. Unfortunately, the season is going to come to an end but we are secure and we will be preparing for next season as well as we can."
