LEEDS United goalkeeper Maik Taylor has opened the door for a permanent move to Millwall in the summer.
The 40-year-old veteran is out of favour at Elland Road and it looks increasingly likely that his loan deal will be converted into a one-year contract at the end of the season.
It had been suggested by Whites boss Neil Warnock that Taylor was due to take up a coaching role in SE16, but the former Northern Ireland international insists he wants to keep playing.
"If staying is an option for me, then I will speak with the manager and see what is open for me," he told the Daily Star.
"I'm just grateful for the opportunity and if it goes beyond the season, then it's fantastic.
"I thought I was coming in to put some pressure on the other keeper and the manager has given me an opportunity. Things have gone well, so hopefully that will continue."
