DANNY Shittu expressed his delight after signing a new two-year contract to keep him at Millwall until the summer of 2015.
NewsAtDen revealed on Thursday that the Nigerian centre-back was set to put pen-to-paper on fresh terms with the Lions, who have now confirmed that the deal has been completed.
Shittu told the club's official site: "There's been a couple months of talks and I'm delighted to have got it done. We have had a lot of ups and for me to be staying here shows that I believe in this club and I believe a lot can come from it."
The 32-year-old, who made 44 appearances last season, had initially been offered a 12-month extension, but Millwall agreed to his request for a longer contract.
Chief executive Andy Ambler said: "We're delighted that Danny has committed himself to the club for another two years.
"We were keen to ensure that the foundations Kenny Jackett has put in place would be available for the new manager to build on and Danny was a key element of that."
