BURNLEY boss Eddie Howe has hinted he could be interested in making a permanent bid to sign Millwall striker Josh McQuoid.

McQuoid, who is nearing the end of his 93-day loan at Turf Moor, scored a 30-yard volley as the Clarets beat Doncaster Rovers 2-1 on Easter Monday.

And Howe was giving little away when asked about the possibility of the 22-year-old staying in Lancashire beyond the end of the season.

"He's a Millwall player and I respect Kenny Jackett and Millwall immensely, so let's wait and see," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"I was thinking 'Pass it!' but he's drawn his leg back and produced a great strike.

"I think he's done well, not only for the goal, but his all-round contribution was very good and I think he can be pleased with his work."
