CAPTAIN Paul Robinson dedicated Millwall's win over Hull City to club legend Barry Kitchener.
The Lions paid tribute to their all-time appearance record holder with a memorial service before kick-off against The Tigers, after which Robinson placed a floral tribute behind the goal at the Cold Blow Lane end.
And the 30-year-old admitted the occasion got to him.
"It has been a very emotional week," he told the Mirror.
"Kitch was a very iconic figure of this club and a legend really. He was a role model you all followed and as players, if you could get anywhere near Barry Kitchener then you've had a decent career.
"I did get quite emotional lining up in the tunnel with his granddaughter."When I looked down and saw the flowers with the number five and his name then it really hit me.
"Thankfully, we got the win for him and hopefully he's smiling down on us."
