DARIUS Henderson bagged his third hat-trick of the season – and second of the week – as Millwall ended their away-day hoodoo in style.
Having plundered three goals in the midweek FA Cup victory over Dagenham & Redbridge, the Lions striker took his goal tally for the season to 15 with another treble in South Yorkshire.
His first came from the penalty spot in the 36th minute. Liam Trotter was adjudged to have been pushed in the area and Henderson made no mistake from 12 yards, before adding his and Millwall's second goal just three minutes later with a deft finish from Jimmy Abdou's through-ball.
Henderson was made to wait for his third, but it eventually came fifteen minutes from time when he lashed home from the edge of the area after Harry Kane's initial effort had been blocked.
However, the Lions were denied the added gloss of a clean sheet when Barnsley defender Jimmy McNulty netted a late consolation for the home side.
Kenny Jackett's side now sit five points clear of the Championship relegation zone.
