Millwall set to rename stand after legend Kitchener

MILLWALL look increasingly likely to rename a stand at The Den after Barry Kitchener following his sudden death last week.

Director Peter Garston has confirmed the club's board is discussing various ways of honouring the legendary defender, with renaming a stand a serious possibility.

Kitchener, who made 602 appearances for the club in a career that spanned three decades from the late 1960s to the early 1980s, passed away on Friday after a short battle with cancer.

Millwall will pay tribute to Kitchener before their forthcoming Championship fixture against Hull City this Saturday.

Would be a fitting and apt tribute to a true Lions Legend.
I think Big Kitch was the first player I ever heard the Millwall crowd singing his name
Would be a nice tribute to get "Oh Barry, Barry - Barry, Barry, Barry Barry Kitchener" ringing around the Den on Saturday.
