Millwall mourn death of legend Barry Kitchener

MILLWALL legend Barry Kitchener has died after a short battle with cancer.

Kitchener made an astonishing 602 appearances for the Lions, making him the club's longest-serving player of all time. He was 64-years-old.

A short statement from Kitchener's family read: "We would like to thank Millwall for making his dreams come true and to all their fantastic supporters for all the love they have shown him over the years.

"We would appreciate privacy at this time to try and come to terms with losing an unbelievable husband, dad and grandad."
