Jackett: Abdou has been my best signing at Millwall

KENNY Jackett believes that signing midfielder Jimmy Abdou has been his best piece of transfer business as Millwall manager.

Abdou joined the Lions on a free transfer from Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2008 and has since made 169 first-team appearances for the club.

And Jackett believes the Comoros international outshines the likes of Steve Morison, Liam Trotter and Darius Henderson as his best-every acquisition.

"He's been so consistent and is much loved down at The Den," he told Texaco Fan Central.

"I made the mistake of putting him as a substitute a few weeks ago but that only lasted until half time when I put him on. He's very popular and generally he's been my best signing."

Couldn't agree more, as I've said in the past nailed on for the Player of the Year. I love the last quote, surely he is the 1st name on the team sheet from now on.
