MILLWALL took a major step towards Championship survival with a crucial win at fellow strugglers Doncaster.

The Lions are now nine points clear of the relegation zone with eight games of the season remaining, although four of the teams below them in the table have a game in hand.

In-form striker Andy Keogh set Kenny Jackett's side on their way to another impressive victory on their travels, heading home James Henry's eighth-minute cross  for his fifth goal in his last eight appearance.

Tottenham loanee Harry Kane added a second with a spectacular 30-yard drive shortly afterwards, before Darius Henderson converted another Henry delivery to put the result beyond doubt in the 58th minute.

Doncaster: Ikeme, O'Connor, Spurr, Bird, Beye, Gillett, Hayter (Oster, 57mins), Barnes, Diouf (Robert, 78mins), Piquionne, Coppinger (Dumbuya, 77mins).

Millwall: Taylor, Smith, Robinson, Ward, Craig, Henry (Feeney, 67mins), Wright (Montgomery, 88mins), Abdou, Henderson, Keogh, Kane.
