Preview: Charlton vs. Millwall

MARK Beevers will miss Millwall's South London derby against Charlton on Saturday after triggering a two-match suspension with his tenth booking of the season.

Beevers was shown a yellow card in the Lions' 1-0 FA Cup quarter-final replay victory over Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night and is set to be replaced in the side by Karleigh Osborne.

But loan signings Richard Chaplow and Jermaine Easter are both likely to feature at The Valley after completing loan moves from Southampton and Crystal Palace respectively.

Winger Martyn Woolford returns to the fold having been cup-tied for back-to-back encounters with Rovers, while James Henry continues his recovery from a knee injury.

Charlton add new arrival Mark Gower to their squad for the clash against Millwall after the Swansea midfielder completed a loan move to SE7 this week.

The Addicks are also boosted by the return of forward Yann Kermorgrant from a three-match ban, but Danny Hollands (metatarsal) and Leon Cort (knee) are out.

Thats a blow just as our defence was looking settled and had not leaked any goals the last 2 games.

Who cares there's enough in our squad to realise the huge importance of this game and most have already experienced it, after making it through to the semi's,this first game back to league duties is perfect, the same effort, work rate, commitment and desire is needed to win this game. I think we'll be ok tomorrow and I can't wait. COYL

In so many ways this game is just as, if not more important than the semi. I'm talking bragging rights, league status, top ten finish, squad confidence, momentum into the semi and generally giving them muggy c**** a good footballing hiding. Geezer at work is charlton and I would love to ram wembley and three points down his mincey neck.

Yep, I think Osbourne is improving and he will need to be in good form tomorrow. Charlton are going to have to be more positive at home and I predict our wingers will give them plenty of problems... don't forget N'Guessen is looking for a new contract with both clubs so will be fired up to impress.

I think that without kermogrant and cort they have not got that many good players also we are more of a attacking threat and we can't just chuck in a youngster like saville in the deep end also he will get slaughtered because of his last name but COYL

I can't see Jack Smith being put in at left back as he did well at Blackburn so it looks like Lowry will be there with Osbourse next to Shittu. Probably, he won't tinker too much with the team that played on Tuesday night but I would expect Chaplow to make a show at some point tomorrow. Front two have to be Keogh and Hulse and I think the wingers will cause Charlton problems. Confidents of 3 points tomorrow...It's Charlton after all.
One good signing this week, one not so good. Still need a striker but Jackett is waiting for the end of the season now for that.

3 pressure games in a week with hardly any subs bound to be some fatigue, not sure who but probably need some fresh legs to inject a bit of pace. Teams done well but some changes required to aid recovery to keep up the survival challenge.

Just had a similar conversation sealion
Was talking maybe Adam smith to come back in for dunne to keep dunne fresh and fit for run in, and jack smith has done well last two games and run the show but he hardly played before that, has he the energy to cope with 3 massive games in a week ? Will Easter play on left for n'guessan, or will we set up with a 4-2-3-1 jimmy and j smith holding, Taylor trotts and keoghe in front of em and as much as I don't want him, hulse up top on his own. The thing I've noticed with hulse is he don't give a t*** who he's up against , he puts himself about and don't mind winding em up, he'll drfinately get the center half a yellow card. All small pluses I know but all important as well especially against the wallys. Who knows I just want to beat em and give it some wember...ley wember...ley.

Cosh what are you doing admitting you watch eastenders on here they are all West Ham supporters!!
I too would def like to see Chaplow in probably for Smith (no disrespect Jack done a good job), but if he is as good as people are saying then we need him to do a job asap.
Dunney has also done great which has surprised a lot of people but how much is left in his 30 year old legs
tackles can start to get mis-timed and we know what that means don't we Woolford.
So I think A Smith back in as long as he isn't rusty. (who'd be a manager).
