Millwall boss confirms Hulse's stomach injury is not serious

KENNY Jackett is confident striker Rob Hulse will be passed fit to face Leeds United on Saturday after missing the win over Middlesbrough with a stomach injury.

Hulse was left out of the Lions squad that travelled to Teesside last weekend after suffering a minor muscle tear in training, although it is understood the QPR loanee was keen to play regardless.

Jackett, however, was not prepared to take the risk and decided Hulse should be left back in London with a view to him being fully fit to play at Elland Road.

Speaking after Millwall's 2-1 win at the Riverside Stadium, Jackett confirmed the 32-year-old's injury was nothing serious, adding: "We expect him to be fit by Saturday, that's how it looks."

Hulse has made four appearances for the Lions since signing on loan in January and scored his first goal for the club in the FA Cup fifth round win over Luton Town earlier this month.

Hulse would have been an excellent sub to hold the ball up towards the end of the game at Borough but JM and Benik deserve to start again. They will learn a lot playing at a packed Erland Road.

JM and BA deserve to start but I think KJ will go with hulse and BA. It's a completely different kind of game, hostile and aggressive
so I think he'd want a bit of experience up top and hulse certainly has that and has played up there a couple yrs so knows exactly what it's all about and he'll definately be up for this one.

No I haven't dan, there was a guy on the boro coach talking about it but I've met him once and to be honest I don't know the fella to judge him,at first I thought yeah alright, as if. But he was on face book at the time and his mate posted he was on the train with trotter and feeney. Again mate don't know what truth was in. Just found it interesting.

Happens after every away game. A lot of players prefer to get the train home instead of the coach. When the team travels up north, some of the players who have family nearby stay over for the weekend etc. After the Blackpool game about half of the squad caught the train. Nothing sinister.

I wouldn't mind if Trotter got pee'd off, at least he would be showing some sort of emotion compared to his recent 'The Walking Dead' impressions.

Now we're talking about rumours can anybody confirm that apparently, as the team were walking out of the tunnel at 'boro, Jacket patted Afobe on the back and said to him ''now that you're playing for us you'll probably get a call from Nigel Pearson''. Or is this a load of crap?

I wouldnt go with JM up front, I would go with experience RH would be the man then let Afobe feed off him and run at there defence just like he did against boro, he could cause them all sorts of problems, JM does not warrant a start AK is a much better player then JM so if RH is out then go with AK and BF.

Good to see Messrs Wood and Kane score for Leicester tonight!!!!! And after thrashing us, can anyone explain why Peterborough let George Boyd join Hull on-loan to the end of the season. If I was a Posh fan I'd be nearly as p***** off as we were at Nigel Pearson snatching CW and HK from our grasp.

Yeah, but what a time to let him go! Surely they could have persuaded him to stay until the end of the season. They thrashed us with him pulling the strings, then let him go and promptly lost their next two. Madness!

Hope we don't keep lobbing balls up to RH teams have sussed that one. Who ever playes up front we need to play to feet, hold on to the ball and make them graft Leeds are s**** at the back when the ball is on the floor BA will skin em, at the same time we will need to defend from all over the pitch can't have any lazy f****** who don't care if we loose!!!!!
