WEST HAM have had a loan bid for Jason Puncheon rejected by Southampton.
Saints boss Nigel Adkins is keen to offload Puncheon on a permanent deal after falling out with the former Millwall loanee.
Puncheon has recently returned to St. Mary's following a largely unsuccessful stint at Premier League new boys QPR, where he failed to break into Neil Warnock's first team, and has since been drawing interest from a number of Championship clubs.
Crystal Palace and Middlesborough are all tracking the pacey winger – but they will have to stump up in excess of £1 million to secure his signature after Blackpool failed with a bid earlier this season.
Millwall boss Kenny Jackett admitted earlier this month that he had all-but given up hope of bringing Puncheon back to The Den.
