Forde confident of Millwall win against former club Luton

DAVID Forde believes Saturday's fifth round FA Cup tie against Luton Town is a game Millwall "should win" if they produce a professional performance.

Forde made five appearances for the Hatters during a loan spell at Kenilworth Road in 2007, so the Republic of Ireland goalkeeper knows exactly what to expect when the Lions travel to Bedfordshire.

But a lot has changed on the pitch since then, with Luton plummeting down the football pyramid into non-league, and Forde is confident of securing victory.

"I have played at Kenilworth Road before so I know it is a tough place to go," he told NewsAtDen. "Their fans are very vocal. But if we apply ourselves and do things right, it's a game we should win.

"We're on a good run in the cup but we know it is going to be a difficult game. Luton are going to be right up for it especially with the game being live on TV.

"They went up to Norwich and won in the last round, which is a big achievement. They beat Wolves, who are just down from the Premier League, before that which is no mean feat either."
