MILLWALL midfielder Therry Racon is set to leave the club on loan next week after a proposed move to Portsmouth broke down on transfer deadline day.

The Lions were discussing the possibility of cancelling the 28-year-old's contract by mutual consent to facilitate a switch to Fratton Park, but Racon decided against the deal.

The emergency loan window opens for clubs in the Football League next Friday and chief executive Andy Ambler expects Racon to join a League One side on a temporary basis.

He told NewsAtDen: "We looked at the option of cancelling his contract but Therry wasn't keen to do that at the moment. Nobody was forcing him out of the door.

"I think come next week, Therry will be looking to go out for four weeks to play games and we will be looking to do that for him."

Why did we sign him?! I feel sorry for the lad he's never been given a chance - warms the bench! Why not push Del boy up a bit to link with Keogh and have Racon and Jimmy in the middle?!?!

I rate Racon as he is technically very good, another Trotter type player, but actually puts some effort in and trys to win a ball. He is a good mix of Trotter and Abdou.

It's a massive shame as I thought he could have been a key player for us before he got injured, I'd like to see him go out on loan play really well and come back a better, fitter player!

Give him a game OMR but you don't want to give Hulse or Tyson a game to prove themselves?

Give the lad a chance, must be frustrating as he was 1st team at charlton and thought of quite highly. Jackett really rated him when he signes So unless he's injury really f***** him I can't see how he couldn't do a job or at least put pressure on trotter, I'd rather racon play and give 100% than watch trotter stroll around doing f*** all again, love him when he's on form but that isn't often enough.

I don't understand this move, Racon was one of Charlton's best players and they didnt want to lose him. Technically a very good player. He got injured and has been snubbed ever since.
