MILLWALL striker Shaun Batt is poised to join League One side Leyton Orient on loan.

Batt has made 11 appearances for the Lions this season and a move to Orient, initially for a month, will give him the opportunity to play much-needed first-team football.

Manager Kenny Jackett told the club's official site: "It is a great opportunity for Shaun to get some first-team minutes under his belt.

"He has been used mainly as a substitute so far this season but can hopefully start some games during his time with Orient."

This will be a great move for Battman! He has got bundles of power and pace, just lacking the technical ability but hopefully get some 1st team action and bang in the goals!

One gone, just two to go. N'Guesson and Tyler.
Let's all hope that signing Hulse is just a smokescreen and that either Morison or Kane are on their way and that at the end of this day we've spent the money we've got.

We wont be signing Kane, he is on-loan at Norwich! Plus he has been out injured for a while.
Morison has been touted as replacement for Bechio at Leeds!
The only player I'd like to see coming in would be Sylvan Ebanks-Blake or a creative midfielder like George Boyd!

I doubt if Morison would go to Leeds. He's not the bait that Norwich need to sign Bechio as quoted by Hughton. Kane can be recalled by Spurs at any time now and the fact is Norwich are actively looking to improve their forward line with several players. Kane and Morison are on the way out from there and let's hope they're heading to SE14.

Morison has just joined Leeds as part of the Becchio deal.... don't say I didn't tell you haha. Kane is still a possibility but Hughton likes a large choice of strikers and would prefer to keep Kane!

Well, Morrison HAS gone to Leeds. Here we go again, watching the quality sail by and looking at a forward line that would shame a conference side.

            Good luck batt man
We can't sign Kane he made sub appearance for spurs before joining Norwich I think the rules state you can only play for two clubs per season.
Unfortunately we have what we have and can do f*** all about it
Gutted we couldn't sign better but they're here now so as much as it pains me they have my support for now.
            One last thing
Wouldn't it be special if hulse or Tyson scores the winner at Leicester and they miss out on promotion by 3 points. They fcuked us so let's support the boys in fcuking them.

You say that as if it's Millwall's fault, as if we could somehow have stopped Morison from going to Leeds. Norwich didn't want to do a deal with us as they were using him as part of the Becchio deal. Same with everyone banging on about Dudley Campbell. He doesn't want to play for Millwall, simple as that. It's not always just down to money: the selling/loaning club and the player themselves have the final say. If they don't want to do business with us, that's our tough luck.

Let's get a grip. Hulse might not be the player we hoped for, but he's quite a lot better than Conference level. Some fans seem desperate to sign anyone for the sake of it. We should be signing the right players at the right price, just as we always have done under Jackett. If that means waiting until next season, then so be it.

Great. So we settle for what we've got and end up mid table cos that's better than relegation ? Get the players we need in now. It was obvious weeks ago that Wood was going and 3 weeks since he's gone. What is the back-up plan that was mooted? Hulse ? Please give me a break.
We've got a very good chance of getting into the quater final of the FA cup and the monet that goes with that not just from TV but also from the FA. We've already got more money to spend than any manager at Millwall has ever had. Be prudent yes, don't sign for the sake of it yes, but surely, if everyone's been doing their job thare is someone on their way. Let's hope so.

All the best to Shaun Batt, by the way. Not really in contention at Millwall, but his attitude has always been spot on. A good chance to get back to match fitness and, perhaps, to attract some attention in the league below.

Not being funny but we have the 2nd smallest budget in the league, so to be where we are is fantastic.... don't get me wrong I want us to be ambitious and get to the play-offs and the dreamland of the prem but would you prefer us to have a go for play-offs and fail which could be a massive risk and leave us in the s**t or be financially secure for championship football for the next 5 years? If you say play-offs you are deluded!

Be grateful for where we are!! We were in administration almost 20 years ago, some clubs have almost gone bust and are playing in the lower reaches of league 2 after going into administration!

Theres money available but KJ is too tight fisted to spend it! overall out squad is weaker now than at the start of the season.... we never look like scoring anymore and were cut to shreds by a ropey Barnsley outfit! call me deluded all you want but quite frankly we're going backwards these past few weeks! I'm not talking about going out there splashing cash like Leicester do but relying on loans and 33 year old donkeys isn't going to keep us in this league let alone see us competing in it!!

He is tight fisted because money means something to Millwall unlike Leicester and likewise towards the top of the league, they can spend what they want and who they want without caring if the signing is a flop, we have to be wise about investing..... Too many times in the past have we seen money spent on crap and we cannot afford to keep doing that, Scott Dobie, Paul Goddard, Pawel Houbertz, Bob Peters... the list is endless.

If Rob Hulse scores a dozen between now and the end of the season and creates a lethal partnership with Tyson you wont be saying that, all us Millwall fans are too quick to pre judge how someone is going to do before they have even kicked a ball.

You might be right, but cannot judge now, come back at the end of the season and give a real assesment of how the 2nd half of the season went, we might only finish 18 points above relegation but that would be an improvement on last season.

KJ and AA were giving it the big one about back up plans being in place if we couldn't keep hold of Wood - surely they didnt mean Hulse?! I'm saying this window is long enough to replace quality with quality should funds be available.... which they were!

Given the opportunity we had, finishing outside the top half cant be judged as successful regardless of last season!

I don't think I need to see Rob Hulse in a wall shirt to judge him - I've seen PLENTY of him and I don't remember being this disappointed in a singing we've made! He's been signed in a panic on the cheap because nobody else wants him! I'll be shocked if he gets 3 goals for us!! I also don't think we'll see much of Tyson - I like Tyson and think he could be good for us but BB will be seeing him much more than we will i fear!

By the sounds of it your going to be on Hulse's back from the word go.... well done.
We have made a name out of signing players who have done particularly poorly at their respective clubs and done well for us, Josh Wright, David Forde, Danny Shittu, James Henry... the list goes on.

Anyway enough with the negativity of some people.... the very best of luck to Shaun at Leyton Orient, he deserves to be playing 1st team football and I for 1 will be looking out for him to see how he is doing!

How can I be disappointed if he hasn't even played yet let alone a run of games in the side yet!?!?
Who was the last prolific striker Millwall signed? .... apart from Morison from then conference club Stevenage as that wasn't even in the football league.

I know I'll be backing him all the way, if it doesnt work out for him and us then I'll be disappointed.

What for 20minutes against Barnsley and you've seen him play for different teams.... doesn't mean he is going to be terrible for Millwall. This is the problem with us Millwall fans, we pre-judge too quickly (I've done this many times in the past and got on the back of players we have just signed) but it gets us absolutely no where, you can see the confidence draining from the player in front of your eyes and he has abuse thrown at him by home and away fans....

I've seen my fair share of Hulse during my time and he hasn't set the world alight of course but he does a job, he is strong like Henderson and will feed Keogh

This is what I'm saying, we can't afford a prolific scorer, they cost over £2mil in this division unless we sign a Sylvan Ebanks-blake but his wages are nearer £20k a week apparentlyand why would he want to come to us when there are bigger teams after himwith a better shot of promotion??

I know its closing the stable door after the horse has bolted but Jason Roberts may have been a better option than Hulse, he's played with Tyson at Wigan and they were a formidable partnership. Some will say that's going back a bit, but we may have got more out of Tyson than previous teams did. And Roberts is a far better player than Hulse at a similar age.
Also does anyone know if charlton came back in for N'Guessan ?

Berm - I've got to say you've been a bit negative of late mate. As Bradders says it's got nothing to do with being tight fisted - we need to spend our money wisely as it doesn't come from generated money it comes from the chairman's pocket. Do you really wan't to go back to the bad old days!!!!!! I know it's all about opinions, but I get saddened when Kenny and the chairman get slagged off, we are in the best position we have been in, all round, for as long as I can remember. We are not a top club!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't have people desperate to sign for us. We can't outbid outbid other clubs. We are bankrolled by a businessman who got bit by the bug that is Millwall and we are where we are today because of an extremely talented manager. I don't agree with or understand everything that KJ does, but I know he has made my club something I can be proud of. I hope JB and KJ don't read this site, cos I wouldn't blame them if they threw it all up in the air!!! COYL

Adsy..... give me a positive about our current situation?! yes we have a talented manager and a good chairman BUT we have a poxy weak squad with no goals in it (in my own opinion) Im extremely disappointed with what we have done in this window - I feel we have swapped Hendo (who yeah was moody and inconsistant) for 2 guys of similar age, with awful goal records of late who both are more injury prone than Hendo himself!! My negativity comes from frustration, we had a proper good opportunity this season after the run and thats all but gone now because we haven't got anyone in!! The reason for that may be because we have no money, it may be because the "right player" wasn't available or it might even be because JB, AA and KJ havent worked hard enough!! whatever the reason the fact is still there and that is what my problem is!! Im still well behind the team and the manager but I feel we've let the good first half of the season go to waste!

Can people stop going on about us having the second smallest budget in the league, its utter b*******. If we can afford to pay likes of shittu Tyson and hulse over 10k a week and previously Henderson 15k then we are by far spending more budget wise than just the 1 team. We waste our money on loan fees and their wages on players that don't really improve the squad. With someone like Adam smith or Harry Kane and Townsend they were good loans as they were on low wages low fee and there was no real chance of signing them permanently whereas s**** like hulse and Tyson who are both more injury prone than Henderson was and neither really improve us at all its a complete waste of money.
And why the f*** didnt we sign Matt Ritchie from Swindon, quality player who we will end up signing from Bournemouth for Malone plus cash, the usual.
