ADAM Smith has reiterated his desire to stay at Millwall until the end of the season after playing the final game of his initial loan deal against Barnsley.
Smith is due to return to White Hart Lane on Thursday but expects to learn before then whether he will be allowed to extend his spell in South London.
Spurs manager André Villas-Boas has revealed he is trying to find a "different solution" for Smith in terms of his next loan move, but the 21-year-old says he is happy where he is.
"I would love to stay," he said. "I'm playing every week and we're playing good football at times. All I want to do as a youngster is play football.
"If a Premier League club came in for me, I would make sure that I would be playing regularly if I went there.
"I would never go somewhere else just to sit on the bench because I could go back to Tottenham and do that. It would be pointless."
