Striker Hulse signs for Millwall in time to face Barnsley

MILLWALL have confirmed that QPR frontman Rob Hulse has joined the club on loan until the end of the season.

Hulse's registration was processed in time for the 33-year-old to go straight into the Lions squad for their trip to Barnsley on Tuesday night.

Boss Kenny Jackett has moved quickly to bring in a like-for-like replacement for Darius Henderson, who was allowed to join Nottingham Forest on a free transfer last week.

Speaking to NewsAtDen yesterday, Jackett hinted that he could bring in another striker when the emergency www.ativan777.com loan window opens next month.

He said: "People are trying to work their own situations and if there are players they want to trade because they are bringing others in, we might be in a position to say 'yes' to something.

"We are perhaps reliant on other clubs having a surplus in their squads and usually that happens in the second week of February rather than the last week of January."

Hulse is eligible to play for Millwall in their FA Cup fifth round tie with Luton Town next month.

Probably the worst news of this whole season!!! Sorry but i can't trust anyone on this other than myself based on what I've seen of this joker!! We should forget the playoffs if this is the best we can attract!! Don't remember being this p!55ed off in January before - all the talk and then we go and replace Henderson with 2 over 30's who between them have scored less than 10 goals in the past year!! yeah nice one KJ!!!

Not a fan of these two loans, but Hulse is well experienced in this league and for a few months might do himself justice and bang a few goals in.. Time will only tell..

Whilst I can't say I'm thrilled about the signing, give the guy a chance! Keogh and Henderson weren't exactly prolific before they came to Millwall. In recent weeks it's been obvious that we need someone who can hold the ball up to bring the other players into the game, at the moment it just keeps coming back which puts the whole team under pressure and doesn't allow the more creative players to get forward with any confidence; it's not just about the goals he scores!!!!

I agree its not just about the goals he scores (even though we are lacking - just check our goal difference mate!!) but the guy isn't a good footballer!! He's lazy, old and I get the feeling he's only been signed because he was available and nobody else wanted him!! If we were tapping up QPR then why not DJ Campbell - hardly first choice there is he!! Whilst we need someone who can hold the ball up we also need a goalscorer......

Do you really think given QPR's financial status that Ipswich were paying ALL of his wages- you dream on!

It will be a success if we sign a cf who can hold himself up let alone a ball

        Yes Berm couldn't agree more,
If that's the way forward then IMO
I would rather have the money spent on a prem reserve/ lower league player or better still p*** one of our rivals off and nick an a stablished player off em, I.e
Beckford, McCormack, Murray or Earnshaw. Just think it's a good chance wasted.

I think KJ is looking to bring another striker in as well. I thought Hulse did well when he played against us.

I would without a doubt have preferred a permanent signing, and I am not totally convinced that Hulse is going to be our man. But now he is a Millwall player, and if we want him to succeed he needs our support!!!!!!!! Let's have faith in KJ, Hulse and the rest of the lads.

Three points at Oakwell tonight would be a great start

Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm sceptical to Hulse, but now that he's here I'll do all I can to lend my support, hoping Kenny gets every last drop out of him and more.

I seem to recall that he turned us down twice in the past:
    * KJ wanted him 18 months ago when QPR were promoted
    * When he was leaving WBA some years back, having offered c£700k for him

Why the sudden change of heart from him? Nobody else after him?????

Exactly that!! Just read his interview on signing - wants to be the focal point of the side - maybe 5/6 years too late! nobody else wants him thats why he's come to us and at 33 i dont think the support from the stands will improve his chances of being a sucess at the Den!! I hope he makes me eat my words with a goal tonight but I just can't see it!!! So basically we STILL need a goal getter!! Sort it out KJ!

Not only that but his stats for a 33 yr old are shocking and he probably will score tonight and everyone will be singing his praises and when the dust settles will he still be the hero or the old donkey cause what I can remember everyone on Friday was saying how good it was for JM to be back and he should get a good run in the side, but 2 days later the same people had a different opinion of him. Basicly I think he's s*** and at best an expensive plan c option coming off the bench when we're desperate. As for holding the ball up and bringing others into play aint that AKs job as the deep lying forward.

No, the man who holds the ball up is the big bloke up top - Keogh, like Trotter, Henry, Taylor and others are supposed to play off him, something we haven't had lately. At the moment JM isn't big enough. Wait and see, poor sod needs to be given a chance!!!!

You really know nothing about football, AK is tiny hell never do that job, the big man holds it up the little man scores

and how many has "the little man" scored this season?! for me Andy Keogh has been more a provider than a goal scorer! He works his socks off but doesn't score enough so on that basis are we saying Hulse is our "big man" and Keogh is our "little man" that scores? if so Keogh might wana get some new boots or something!!

Now now boys, it's all about opinions and everyone's entitled to theirs. If everyone thought the same sites like this wouldn't exist. We're all Millwall and we all want the same thing - starting with 3 points tonight!!!!!!

Reading have agreed a fee with Sheffield United for striker Nick Blackman, according to SkySports.

Could this mean we have a better chance of getting Church in or has that ship sailed?

A late reply but I can't help it
Hulse is a "target man" who uses his strength and aerial presence to bring teammates into play rather than rely on technical ability.
The "deep lying forward" i.e AK,aims to drop deep into space and hold up the ball before supplying linking passes to teammates, moving the ball back to midfield support, spreading it wide to the flanks and, if he has time to turn, playing in his strike partner.
