MILLWALL midfielder Josh Wright insists his spectacular long-range strike against Burnley was no fluke.
The 22-year-old, making his fifth start of the season, opened his account for the Lions with a stunning first-half strike at Turf Moor, smashing a first-time, 30-yard volley beyond the helpless Lee Grant in the Clarets goal in the 30th minute.
And Wright says he could repeat the feat – because he puts in plenty of practice on the training ground.
"It was an incredible way to score my first goal for the club," he told the Southwark News.
"You practice those in training. You probably get one out of ten, but if you keep trying they'll come off.
"We work on the floor in training and then we throw the ball up and work on volleys in the shooting sessions. My team-mates know I love it when a volley comes and the practice paid off.
"They don't drop to you often like that, but I saw the way it was coming so I took my chances, hit it and my luck was in."
