DANNY Shittu says he is relishing the chance to mark Aston Villa's £7million-frontman Christian Benteke in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Shittu will be tasked with handling the 6ft 3in Belgium international when the two sides meet under the lights at The Den on Friday – but the centre-back says he is completely unfazed by the prospect.
Benteke has scored 16 goals in 33 appearances for the Premier League club this season, including what proved to be a consolation in Villa's shock Capital One cup defeat to Bradford in midweek.
But Shittu said: "He's just another striker. That's all he is to me. It will be a battle and I look forward to every battle. That's how I see it."
The Lions will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of a 2-0 home defeat to Burnley last Saturday and Shittu believes causing a cup upset would be the perfect response.
"It's a game we believe we can win and if we do, it will be a big confidence boost," he admitted. "It's down at The Den so it is definitely a winnable game. We know we've got to put things right."
