MILLWALL boss Kenny Jackett is set to be boosted by a seven-figure cash investment from the club's directors, according to a local newspaper report.
The Southwark News says the funds will be used to cover the club's month-to-month six-figure losses, but that Jackett will receive a share to increase his playing budget.
Chairman John Berylson, along with directors Dick Press, Con Gonticas and Trevor Keyse, are close to agreeing the investment package, the paper quotes chief executive Andy Ambler as saying.
Meanwhile, boss Kenny Jackett says he is hopeful of strengthening his squad as the transfer window comes to a close.
"I'm hoping yes but I don't think there will be anything before Saturday," he told News Shopper.
"That will lead us into the last week when most of the deals get done anyway. We will be hopeful, but we will see."
