STEVE Mildenhall's recurrent ankle injury will rule him out of Millwall's league clash with Burnley this weekend.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper deposed first-choice stopper David Forde ahead of the Lions' FA Cup fifth round clash against Bolton last weekend, only to pick up a knock against the Trotters and miss Tuesday's 3-1 defeat to Middlesbrough as a result.
And boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed he will miss the forthcoming trip to Turf Moor.
“Mildenhall will not be fit for the Burnley game as he is still recovering from an ankle problem," he told News Shopper.
“I don’t know exactly how long he will be out for, it may be next week.
“It is an ankle injury which has been troublesome over a couple of months now and after his last spell of treatment I said to the medical staff and the player ‘don’t come back and let it reoccur’, so I was disappointed that happened.
“He’d had probably 10 days training before the Bolton game where I felt he was right and OK.”
