Freedman: Teams have taken Millwall lightly this season

DOUGIE Freedman has warned his Bolton players to underestimate Millwall at their peril at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday.

The Trotters boss believes other teams have fallen foul of taking the Lions "a bit lightly" this season but insists his side will not make the same mistake.

"Millwall are a very difficult side to beat," Freedman said. "Kenny Jackett is a manager who demands hard work and his teams to show spirit and fight for each other.

“They’ve caught out a lot of teams this year because people have possibly taken them a bit lightly. They don’t necessarily have the biggest names on paper, but they have got a really good team.

"We're going to have to be at it from the word go. We have to make sure that we're disciplined in our closing down and make sure that we show our quality in the final third."

Yes, I guess we'll just have to rely on Henderson and er . . . er, Trotter to get us in play-offs!

Wood is good, but remember the team around him were a striker away couple more wins and we are safe, anything else will be a bonus, think we should be happy with being were we are at the moment we can go for it, but finnish in the top half and we've had a great season
