KENNY Jackett has confirmed his intention to sign a left midfielder during the January transfer window after Chris Taylor and Liam Feeney were sidelined by injury.
Taylor picked up a knee ligament problem against Brighton last month and may require season-ending surgery if he has not recovered by mid-February.
Feeney was forced off at half-time against Preston North End with a hamstring strain on Saturday, having scored what proved to be the winning goal, and could miss up to three weeks.
And Jackett admitted: "I'm sure we would be looking to bring someone in. It is a position where we need somebody who's quite natural there.
"Quite often when you play someone out of position, they stick out like a sore thumb. We do need a natural left winger and an option or two in that position would help us."
Millwall are believed to have explored the possibility of re-signing Andros Townsend on loan, but Tottenham want to keep the winger at White Hart Lane.
