MILLWALL have been boosted by the return of midfielder Jimmy Abdou ahead of their match against Cardiff City on Saturday.

Abdou is available for selection again after compassionate leave and is set to replace Josh Wright in Kenny Jackett's starting line-up.

But Jackett is without Chris Wood after the striker agreed a deal to sign for rivals Leicester City, while injured duo Chris Taylor (knee) and Andy Keogh (toe) have not travelled to Wales.

With Keogh sidelined and Wood no longer available, forward Danny N’Guessan will be pushing for his second start of the season alongside Darius Henderson in attack.

Full-back Adam Smith is available after his red card against Barnsley was rescinded by the Football Association, meaning the Spurs loanee no longer needs to serve a three-match ban.

Striker John Marquis has been included in the 20-man squad after recovering from a groin injury, but Paul Robinson (hip) remains sidelined.

Cardiff welcome back Matthew Connolly from suspension but the right-back may have to settle for a place on the bench after Kevin McNaughton impressed in a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Saturday's fixture comes too soon for forward Tommy Smith and midfielder Kadeem Harris, while striker Nicky Maynard is ruled out with the knee injury he sustained at The Den in September.

Midfielder Aron Gunnarsson will be pushing for a recall after his goal-scoring cameo against the Eagles on Boxing Day.

Good a bad feeling about today. Hope the lads can supply Hendo with the same ammo as Wood got.

The team I think will win the league this season but we are capable of beating Cardiff. Hendo to get a brace and shade it 2-1

The lads will be up for this, if beating the team top of the league at their place isn't inspiration enough I reckon there'll be a reaction from the weeks events. I also feel the management will be saying to the squad something like "we are in the mix, let's not melt away after all this hard graft, peg this mob back and we'll be right up there backsides"
One player doesn't make a team and the same people behind whatisname are still going to be feeding Hendo and N'Guessan. Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii............
