MILLWALL and Leicester City have had bids accepted by West Brom for Chris Wood – but the striker's destination is unclear.

NewsAtDen understands the Lions have finally struck a deal with the Baggies for the New Zealand international, who has scored 11 goals in 19 appearances on loan at The Den.

Boss Kenny Jackett has had several approaches turned down in recent months but it is believed an offer worth in excess of £1.5million has been successful.

Wood will make a decision on his future over Christmas and a deal for him to leave The Hawthorns on a permanent basis is likely to be in place for when the transfer window opens on January 1.

The 21-year-old has previously stated that he would "definitely" want to sign for Millwall if given the chance – but the Foxes could tempt him to the Midlands with an irresistible contract offer.

Brighton and Huddersfield Town may yet enter the equation over the coming days but the Lions are hoping that Wood will not want to move clubs again after enjoying his time in South London.

Excellent news. Whether we get him or not well done JB in going the extra mile with a big bid. We can't compete with Leicester in wages but Wood knows he is really settled here with fans and management . He will be first choice striker in a team that hopefully will be in the promotion shake up so let's be optimistic!

How much will Leicester offer him in wages though? He probably won't start so he isn't likely to be offered the mega bucks there, think we have a good chance now, he is already scoring here he must want to continue that

So as Aldo has said, they have set an asking price which looks to be fixed, whoever offers will have their bid accepted and then it is for him to choose the club
