KENNY Jackett admits the onus is on Millwall's players to generate an atmosphere at The Den when Barnsley arrive in South London on Saturday.

The visit of the Tykes may not be as mouth-watering as recent fixtures against Leicester City and Brighton, but Jackett says his side must excite Lions fans with their performance.

He said: "It will be a different type of game on Saturday – it  will certainly be quieter at The Den than it was for the Leicester game.

"Perhaps for that game we were the underdog; it was a classic Millwall situation where the crowd roared us on to get the win.

"Against Barnsley the focus will be on the players to make it happen and we have to take on that responsibility. They will have to generate an atmosphere in the crowd and they are capable of that.

"As well as some heart, we have quality in our side. Barnsley will come with one up front and they have some technical players in midfield that can keep the ball."

He added: "The standard of our football against Brighton was very, very good. We've taken four points from a possible six in our last two games – that's a good return."
