Millwall get Premier League opposition in FA Cup

MILLWALL will play Premier League AFC Bournemouth at The Den in the third round of the FA Cup.

Neil Harris’ side booked their place in the draw after beating Braintree 5-2 on Sunday.

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth are currently 10th in the Premier League table after Sunday's dramatic 4-3 win over Liverpool.

Millwall and Bournemouth have met 78 times, with the Lions having won 38 games to the Cherries’ 29.

Their last meeting was in the Championship in December 2014 when Bournemouth won 2-0 at The Den after goals from Yann Kermorgant and Harry Arter.

The third-round ties will be played the weekend starting January 6.
