Injury hindered progress of Millall's Pavey

AN ankle injury hindered Alfie Pavey’s ability to make an impact at Bromley, his boss Neil Harris said.

Pavey, 20, joined Bromley on a three-month loan deal in August and played seven games for the south London club.

He failed to get on the scoresheet in that time, and started from the bench in two of the last three games.

Pavey returned to the Lions on Sunday and with Aiden O’Brien set for a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury he could become part of the first-team squad again.

Harris will monitor his progress before deciding the striker’s next move.

Harris said: “Alfie had a good few games before he picked up an ankle knock and was left out. He couldn’t get back in but played Saturday.

“Alfie has had six-and-a-half weeks at Bromley and it was a good learning curve for him. He has gone out and played a few games, come off the bench a few times.

“He comes back here and forces his way into my plans or he goes back out on loan again.”
