Millwall have striking doubts ahead of Vale clash

MILLWALL could be without Aiden O’Brien for Tuesday’s trip to Port Vale, while boss Neil Harris will make a late decision whether to include Lee Gregory in his starting XI.

Gregory started for the first time in seven games and scored from the penalty spot against Rochdale at the weekend, before he was substituted in the 86th minute.

O’Brien, meanwhile, will have a scan on the knee injury that forced him off in the first half after he had scored Millwall’s equaliser in that 3-2 defeat to Keith Hill’s side on Saturday.

Harris said: “We’re hopeful, it could be a bad one or it could be very minor. I can’t really make too much comment until we know later.

“He caught his studs in the turf and it looks like it’s the side and the back of the knee. We’re hopeful it’s not serious.

“Lee’s had a four- to five-week period out and he put in a good shift at the weekend. Lee will probably be a last-minute decision tomorrow afternoon to see how he feels as to whether he can go again.”

Ben Thompson serves a one-match ban following his red card against Rochdale, with Calum Butcher or Jimmy Abdou set to replace him in the side.
