SWINDON Town have been placed among the favourites for relegation to League Two in 2016-17.

The Robins will look to build on a strong finish to the previous season, in which they went the final four games unbeaten, but the bookies sense a year of struggle for Luke Williams' outfit.

The Head Coach signed a five-year contract extension in March and he will look to steer the club away from trouble.

Millwall enjoyed large spells of possession and a multitude of shots on goal in the two clubs' Den meeting last October, but could only come away with a 2-0 win, courtesy of goals from Lee Gregory and Aiden O'Brien.

At the County Ground in March, the Robins gained a point in injury time of a highly-controversial clash.

With the Lions once more 2-0 up and seemingly cruising, a debateable penalty for an apparent foul by Carlos Edwards got the home side back into the match.

With the four minutes of stoppage time all but up, Michael Doughty's header found its way past Jordan Archer, denting Millwall's automatic promotion hopes.

One man playing for Swindon that day is now a permanent Robins player – goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux completed his move from Liverpool on July 1.

In addition to that, Williams has signed Conor Thomas from Coventry City, but the club have lost their two main strikers, with Nicky Ajose and Michael Smith moving to Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth respectively.

The two clubs will enjoy a festive feast at The Den on Boxing Day.
