MILLWALL'S two meetings with Coventry City last season were eventful, to say the least.

At The Den in August, the Sky Blues rattled in four unanswered goals as the Lions were brought back down to earth following the opening day win at Shrewsbury Town.

In the return game at the Ricoh Arena in mid-April, Neil Harris' side were in firm control following Byron Webster's first-half header, but the game turned on Shaun Williams' red card.

A stunner from John Fleck levelled proceedings just after the hour mark and with just twenty minutes to go, the turnaround was complete.

A ball over the top caused indecision in the Millwall defence, allowing Marcus Tudgay to sneak in and score the winner.

The Lions' top two hopes were slim throughout the run-in, but the defeat at the Ricoh ensured a tilt at the play-offs and no more.

By their own admission, Coventry's 2015-16 campaign was a disappointment. In 2016-17, however, they should be a threat at the top end of the table.

An ambitious outfit, the City faithful will probably demand that their side are just that.
